Greg Ryan has been performing at the Jersey Shore and around the State for more than 30 years. Joe Finn hired Greg at the age of 19 for his first performing job at the “McCann Hotel/Silver Edge Bar” in Belmar. He went on to perform at the Vailsburg Inn, the Norwood Inn and other places. At that time, he sang Irish songs and a variety of other types of music ranging from Bob Dylan and the Beatles to Joni Mitchell and Peter, Paul & Mary. After that, Greg played in a popular country-western band for more than 20 years all over Central New Jersey. Now, appearing solo again, Greg has returned to his roots performing well-loved Irish folk songs. His wife, Liz Ryan, accompanies him on many of the songs on the bodhrán (Irish drum).
